Day 1: Liberia Airport- Arenal Volcano Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival into Liberia Airport, you will be met by a travel representative, who will provide your full itinerary, recommendations, maps, contact information and assistance with your transportation. Afterwards, you will be provided with unescorted transportation to the Arenal Volcano area located in the Northern lands of Costa Rica; this is an approximate a 4-hour drive. During the first part of the transfer, you will pass through the plains of the Guanacaste Province where you will admire the incomparable beauty of the landscapes, which includes the tropical dry forest and its hot climate. Then, the journey is adorned with the beautiful scenery of the Arenal Lake which is fulfilled with great scenery of nature and country villages.

Day 2 - Arenal Volcano
Day 2: Arenal Volcano (Breakfast & Dinner) Today you will visit the Penas Blancas River where you will experience a Safari Floating tour. This river is one of the most scenic rivers in the northern lowlands, surrounded by tropical forest which is rich in wildlife. Once in the river, you will paddle downstream, in an inflatable boat while the naturalist guide will explain you fascinating details about the trees, plants, tropical birds, animals and reptiles that appear along the riverbanks. The quietly boat-ride will give you the opportunity to immerse in the daily life of the river, enjoying the peaceful sounds of the nature and offering you the best opportunity to take photos. During the afternoon, you will visit the world famous Tabacon Hot Springs. These natural hot springs features a hot river that flows through a series of pools. From cascading falls to tropical gardens, the hot springs are the result of rainwater heated by magma in the Earth’s interior. Once heated, the waters rise to surface, taking with them minerals found in the earth’s rocky crust; this way, waters become very benefic to your body because of its temperature that helps to relax muscles, clean pores and rejuvenate the skin. Tabacon offers a unique location surrounded by natural jewels that definitely you cannot miss staying at Arenal area. At the end of the tour you will enjoy dinner at the resort and then you will be transferred to your selected hotel in the Arenal Volcano area
Day 3 - Arenal Volcano
Day 3: Arenal Volcano- Monteverde Cloud Forest (Breakfast) Morning depart from Arenal Volcano to the Monteverde Cloud Forest. This service is considered a transfer-tour, as you will be crossing by boat the Arenal Lake, which is the largest and the most important lake in Costa Rica. The first part of the trip is adorned with the beautiful scenery of the Arenal Lake. Then, will start the driving ascending through the Tilaran Mountain Range. The final portion of your journey is on gravel roads, giving you more time to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery. For the evening it is programmed a tour at Monteverde Cloud Reserve. With a naturalist as your guide, you will discover the wonders of the tropical cloudforest, when most wildlife species are active. Strange sounds, lights and aromas will capture your imagination. During the walk, you will search for nocturnal species such as insects, bats, frogs, toads, and mammals providing a different perspective of the forest.

Day 4 - Monteverde Could Rainforest
Day 4: Monteverde Cloud Forest (Breakfast) This day is at leisure to enjoy the optional sights and activities in the area. Perhaps pay a visit to the nearby town of Santa Elena, with its beautiful orchid garden, frog pond, serpentariums, butterfly gardens and art galleries. You could take a tour of the local cheese factory, coffee or sugar cane plantation, or take advantage of such local activities as horseback riding, birdwatching and/or canopy/zip-line tours.
Day 5 - Tamarindo Beach
Day 5: Monteverde – Tamarindo Beach (Breakfast) In the morning begins the descent from Monteverde Cloud Forest to the North Pacific Coast. The first part of the transfer is adorned with panoramic views of the Gulf of Nicoya until reach the Pan-American Highway where you will notice a change between the cloud forest and the tropical dry forest that characterizes the entire Guanacaste Province.Once in the coast, you will enjoy not only the stunning views but also the beautiful beaches with generous palm trees that rise up from the beaches and gives shade to sunbathers. For all of this, it easy to understand why Guanacaste is the perfect destination to enjoy nature and relaxation!

Day 6 & 7 - Tamarindo Beach
Days 6 & 7: Tamarindo Beach (Breakfast) Days at leisure for you to enjoy the hotel grounds, the beach and even consider on taking an optional (extra cost) day tours in the area. The region is known for its extensive nature reserves that house an incredible concentration of flora, fauna and natural beauty. Therefore, the are several reserves, natural attractions and many activities which can be done from the area at an extra cost, some suggestions are: Rincon de la Vieja National Park, which holds an active volcano, thermal mud baths, and a variety of forests; or Palo Verde National Park, which is a bird-watchers and nature-lover’s paradise; there are also canopy tours, river rafting, horseback riding, forest hiking, fishing and much more for you to explore.
Day 8 - Tamarindo Beach
Day 8: Tamarindo Beach- Liberia Airport (Breakfast) Your Costa Rican eco-adventure comes to the end today. You will be met at the hotel and transferred to Liberia Airport, for your return trip home.
